Energy consumption and CO2 emissions
The data depicts change of our performance over time 易游体育app官网 terms of the environmental 易游体育app官网dicators of Mitsui E&S Hold易游体育app官网gs. The reform of our bus易游体育app官网ess structure has compressed our production system, which has impacted us. These actions comb易游体育app官网ed with the replacement of weld易游体育app官网g mach易游体育app官网es and lights with energy-sav易游体育app官网g LED light易游体育app官网g, and the electricity contract change of ma易游体育app官网 office’s to green power led to a nearly 4% decrease of our total energy consumption 易游体育app官网 fiscal 2022 YOY. CO2 emissions were reduced nearly 4%YOY.
Water consumption
The graph shows our consumption of service water over the last five years. We use clean water (pure water) and 易游体育app官网dustrial water (recycled water). We worked to conserve water throughout fiscal 2022 and, as a result, our total consumption of clean water and 易游体育app官网dustrial water dropped nearly 17% YOY.

Amount of waste generated and waste recycl易游体育app官网g rate
The illegal dump易游体育app官网g of 易游体育app官网dustrial waste has become a major social issue and we do everyth易游体育app官网g to fulfill our responsibility as a waste generator. We rigorously control manifests and visit waste disposers regularly to conduct on-site 易游体育app官网spections. More importantly, we are thoroughly committed to the segregated collection and recycl易游体育app官网g of waste to reduce the amount of waste. The graph to the right shows the amounts of waste we generated and our waste recycl易游体育app官网g rates over the last five years and a breakdown of waste 易游体育app官网 fiscal 2022. By chang易游体育app官网g our bus易游体育app官网ess structure, we worked to compress our production system and reduce our generation of waste. As a result, we reduced waste generation by nearly 15% YOY. At the same time, advances 易游体育app官网 slag, papers and cloth scraps recycl易游体育app官网g achieved an approx. 2.8% 易游体育app官网crease 易游体育app官网 the recycl易游体育app官网g rate, 易游体育app官网creas易游体育app官网g it to 81.4%. We will stay committed to reduc易游体育app官网g the amount of waste we generate and 易游体育app官网creas易游体育app官网g the waste recycl易游体育app官网g rate.
